Meet Athena Daenerys!!
Hi there! I'm Athena Daenerys! Although, my Dad likes to call me 'Goober' a lot! I am a 2 year old Shepard/Staffy mix. At least according to Dad, I am the goodest girl there is out there.
Auntie Jesse helped Dad a LOT with my early training. She offered lots of emotional support and answered several "is this ok/normal?!" questions. There were "Sanity checks" and she has continued to help Dad train me to be his bestest partner in crime!! I think this helped my dad so much!
Training has been fairly easy for me. Dad says it's cuz I'm "wicked smaht," but sometimes I'm really good at predicting what he's going to say next! I know when Dad is having an episode and will immediately snuggle against him and not move till I think he's calm down. I also know when Dad's getting really bad and will try and distract him or get him to take me outside so I can walk him!
I also know basic commands. Although, I don't always get them right, but sometimes I just need a moment to think. Dad is also working with me on manners in confined spaces and on helping me be more comfortable with traveling (he keeps saying he wants to take me to Chicago... Whatever that is). Anyways, I'm sure I've barked your ear off enough. Bye everyone!
